Our office is safe
Rest assured that we are doing everything we can to ensure that our office is a safe place to bring your family during these difficult times. Our entire A/C filtration system has recently been upgraded to ensure clean air in the building.
Call or text first if you are sick
If you think your child has a cold or has fever, cough, or flu-like symptoms, please call the office to set up an office visit or a telemedicine visit with one of our providers. PLEASE REVIEW OUR SICK VISIT PROCEDURES.
Telemedicine is up and running
You can call or text our office to set up a telemedicine visit with a physician or nurse practitioner. To facilitate your telemedicine visit, text our office at (423) 877-4591 so we can communicate with your phone. You will then need the Zoom app for your telemedicine visit.
Keep vaccine visits
The American Academy of Pediatrics has been very clear with pediatricians during these trying times on the importance of maintaining vaccination schedules Please call or text the office at (423) 877-4591 to discuss any of your questions or concerns.
Do I keep a well check, a sports/camp physical, or a medication visit?
Yes. We are doing everything we can to keep our office safe and clean so you can feel comfortable bringing in your child. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us to discuss your individual needs and concerns.

When you arrive to Highland Pediatrics for a WELL visit, feel free to come on in or call or text to check in from your car. For sick visits, please call or text the office at (423) 877-4591 to check in.
How do you text?
You text our office number at (423) 877-4591 from your cell phone just like any other text message. Please provide your child's full name, birthday, and your provider's name each time you text the office. Feel free to reach out by text for your healthcare or scheduling needs .

This cold and flu season, we want to keep your family as safe as possible. We have designated separate well and sick areas within our office with temporary plastic walls. We are doing our best to limit the spread of illness and protect our patients.

If your child has ANY signs of illness this cold and flu season, please use our Sick Clinic. Symptoms of illness including fever, cough, runny nose, congestion, sore throat, ear pain, vomiting and diarrhea should all be addressed in the Sick Clinic.

Well visits including newborn care, routine checkups, immunizations, and medication checks will be seen on the Well Side. Symptoms including constipation, injuries, sleep problems, and chronic medical conditions will also be seen on the Well Side. When you pull into Highland Pediatrics, park in front of the main entrance for well child care. For SICK VISITS ONLY, please follow the new signs to park along the side of the building.

At the start of your visit, our provider will call you to discuss your child's illness over the phone. You will then be brought inside for an examination, any necessary testing, and a treatment plan for your child's illness.
